Rocky Mountain was the company I created at the behest of Bill Schjelderup of Companion Corporation while I was working as the Director of Technology. In fact, my first customer was Companion Corporation. The company was a lot of fun to run but I knew it wasn't a sustainable business model. Our main money maker was the creation of data from catalog cards and once a dataset had been created the customer would not longer need our services. Our target demographic became increasingly lower socio-economic schools, the No Child Left Behind Act effectively ended their funding. I decided to attend college full time and I shut the doors of Rocky Mountain in December of 2007.
